Thank you so much for posting. What a nice profile of the 1969 H/O convertible and Linda Vaughn. It was such a great show and one of the only chances many of us will ever have to see such a historic car. I understand the brothers of “The Collection” which own this 1969 H/O convertible also were owners of four of the 1969 Trans Am convertibles at the event. It was great of them to bring out such classic & historic cars for all to see.
It was also interesting for me to see how many of the under hood pieces on the 1969 H/O convertible were gold plated, along with the painted top and the gold carpeting. The level of detail that Olds and Hurst implemented while making these cars was truly amazing. I spoke with the author of the new Hurst book Mark Fletcher who stated they have now also located the original 1969 H/O prototype with all the exotic spoilers. I hope that we will also see that car restored to its former glory someday soon.
