However, the AIM would lead one to believe the hole gets drilled for all models. There are additional instructions for A/C cars, but the AIM says the grommet is part of the harness for all three numbers.
Anyway, I made my own using a 9/16 tapered rubber stopper by drilling a hole, then tapering the end into a cone shape using the bench grinder, a file and some sand paper. Cut a groove in it to make it into a push in grommet. Fits nicely.
I then cut the spade connectors off the brown wires, and made one wire out of it by soldering. Hid the solder connection inside the grommet, and glued it into place so it wouldn't slide out. I am happy with it. </div></div>
sounds like a good job then. Post some pics? I can't remember what originals I have worked on over the years I think they all were factory air. I'll have to browse my photo lib and see if I have any non ac that use the block.
