Never too early to start. My daughter rebuilt the 455HO in my 72 Trans Am when she was 9 and in third grade. My son (who is 12 now) is currently building his second engine. He rebuilt the 350 in his Great Grandmother's 75 Firebird when he was 11. Now he has graduated to the 455HO engine from his Great Grandmother's Grandson's Formula (mine).
