The shore has been destroyed. Seaside seems to have gotten the worst of it though. In some areas of Ocean City, there is over a foot of sand on the streets and IN people's homes. Living in South Jersey and seeing the news out of Philadelphia that covers much of the shore region, it's absolutely devastating to look at. I was just down in Ocean City, NJ last weekend too.
In my little corner of Gloucester County in South Jersey, we seem to have been spared. The eye passed right over us. I never lost power, had any flooding or downed trees. The rain wasn't as much as expected either at around 3". The wind was steady but didn't really start cranking until after the eye passed.
