Bruce, My name is Dan. I own a 1967 L79 El Camino with 138,000 on the body.
This was a California car all its life until my purchase 4 yrs ago. The car
was ordered by Don Harling (with whom I have spoken) from Gustafson
Chevrolet and he stated to me that he wanted a Holley 4 barrel and a 4
speed.
He ordered the Royal Plum El Camino with the M21 and the standard 3:31 rear.
He sold the car to his aunt who then sold the car to someone else in town.
I believe 4 or 5 owners before me, all of which lived in or around Arcata
Ca.
The car still sports the original interior with the exception of the carpet.
When I bought the car, it had a 2nd paint job which was marginal. I had the
car media blasted and pleased at what was left. Truly a rust free car, with
minor dents. The car was repainted the original color.
This is a numbers matching car with the protecto-plate and owner history.
Truly a pleasure to drive.
Thanks Dan
