I just got home.....I must say.....if this was the "Last Blast in the Park" it was indeed a "Blast in the Park!" The weather was Perfect! Chuck was as cool as a cucumber! There were many high lights from this 2012 CB, but what stuck out the most for me was the Tribute to Bob Wilcox.......seeing his car in the park and all of Bob`s memories surrounding his car was very touching, I`m not ashamed to say it brought me to tears. The second high light was having Tom Rightler receive the Cam Hanson award.....also very touching and deserving. Tom glad to know you and call you a friend. Third was having Greg Cullum win peoples choice award! Greg put his heart and soul into this project, I was honored to be a part of this amazing car and build.
If CB gets relocated and this was indeed the Last CB in Moss Park, what I can say....is I have meet hundreds of GREAT people in this special park that will always be a part of some of my fondest Chevelle memories. A Great Job and my most humble Thank You to ALL that have made each and every CB at Moss Park a Special Time each June. I can only hope that Next years CB is another success where every we may end up.
It was great hanging out with old friends and meeting NEW Friends.....this is what it`s ALL ABOUT! Good friends....Greg Cullum, Jim Hanke, Bill Hamel, Jeff Lattondress, George and Gary Steele, Tom Rightler, Chris Carney, Van and Ray Hurts, Mike Merlo and Son, Vic DeAgastino, Von Cassidy, Dave Birdwell, Dave Dodd, Roger Day, Chad, Malcom, Randy and Nancy Fricke, Greg Martin, Les Saville, sorry if I missed a few others......as I know I have.
