Default Re: HQ springs GM# 3955724

Camaro Don;

The reason the information is all over the place is that these were 'computer selected'. Means you can not list just an engine combination. Vendors list a popular applications. They can't list them all.

The only place to see what is the right spring is to use a period parts book and run the math. The calculator does that for you. What code did you come up with there?

I think I said this before. Part number overrides codes. You have the part number from the tag. The spec for 3955724 is what you are looking to have. Installed Height @ 1830 lbs = 11.09"

Aftermarket manufacturers will get you in the ball park. but there are endless stories on the internet about ride height issues. If you are looking for the exact ride height, you are probably better starting with the Heartbeat ones and hope they are not too short(I have never use them). But even then you may need to trim the spring just like the Moog to get the correct ride height.

No matter what spring you buy; you need to shoot for Installed Height of 11.09" @ 1830 lbs.

Good luck,
Greg
