There was an aftermarket company named Carson that made removable hardtops for '62-64 convertibles. They were never a Chevrolet accessory but a dealer could put anything the customer wanted on a new car to make a sale.
As far as value, I could only offer a very wide range depending on the quality and correctness of the restoration and if there's a legitimate original driveline. I'd prefer not to guess without seeing the car/documents.
As for production numbers, of the 8,684 409s installed in '64 full size Chevys, the 425hp version was installed in 1,986 of them for US sales and another 11 for export. There are no numbers available with a breakdown by model, body style or bundled with any other options.
