Save yourself a whole lot of money and just rebuild it in accordance with the Chilton's Motor manual. If you need more info PM me and I'll eMail you the how to info for free.

I've rebuilt my own alternators, starters and distributors since 1972. My Z/28 starter rebuild cost me $87 new armature included, my alternator was $35 and reconditioned the distributor was $56.

an excellent book for rebuilding all GM 1st and 2nd Generation Distributors is "Camaro Owners Handbook by HP Books"
