Ain't that the truth? Cool true story: Way back when...when I actually knew something, I ran into an old acquaintance at the track. He was pretty bummed out. His high dollar (then) W2 340 Mopar was a slug. Then in passing (I was just cruising on by), he asked me what I thought of the plugs...Yikes. Silver &quot;piston pieces&quot; imprinted everywhere. I asked him what the jetting was in the Holley. He told me the exact jetting was recommended by a well-known (So Cal) Mopar Guru. Never mind we were a couple of thousand miles away...and with a huge difference in both altitude and humidity....L-O-L. Right about then I suggested he fatten it up as far as he could go with the jets he had on hand. Believe it or not, the A-body picked up six (yes, <span style="text-decoration: underline">Six</span>) tenths. And he still needed more jet. Bottom line here was the 340 was so lean, it was eating itself up. I think it was the cheapest six tenths on record. Ever...L-O-L.

Truth is, I think it's more fun to find performance in an &quot;underdog&quot; with tuning and little stuff than it is to throw $$$ at it.
