Norm, clueless again... New srt8 jeeps run 0-60 4.8 and mid 13's in the quarter. Faster then the older SRT8"s The old 3v 4.6 Mustangs are as fast as that.. New 5.0's run mid to low 12's stock and boss's low 12's. Do your homework Norm... The GT500 and the 5.0 has nothing in common. NOTHING

It seem there are a few on this site think the 5-0 is king ( Me I AM NOT ONE OF THEM) I know for a fact the jeep str8 can beat the GT500 5.0
A few days ago my friend ran a GT 500 Up on I (95) and walked right passed the mustang The 5.0 COULD NOT BEAT that brick on wheels
Then The stang lost oil pressure and that was the end story
I said earlier I was once in the business and have spoke to the Ford people and I have been told there seems to be a major problem with the newer 5.0 oiling system
I do not own a str8 jeep but my son has an )05 grand cherokee with a 4.7 v8
and I have MY SELF ran
many stock 5,0s and I have beat them every time right off the line
and remember the 05 grand cherokee had all four wheel engaged and that thing is heavy as hell and it still out runs a stock 5.0 NOW That jeep really impressed me My own jeep I have the old dependable 4.0 inline six
It is not a fast jeep but it is easy as hell to work on and 4.0 has a history of lasting well over 300,000 miles and THAT is why I bought it. I had a 4x4 91 blazer before the jeep and for me once you own a 4x4 you will always have a 4x4
Ok I said my peace Now I know I WILL get slammed that the 5,0 is king
all I can say is what ever </div></div>
