To be honest, I had those tires sold on ebay about a year ago for over $700. There were a few bidders at that level. After the auction I decided to send the buyer some close photos of the torn places on the bead from when they were de-mounted. I wanted to make sure he saw the worst of the worst before he sent his $$. He declined to buy them. Maybe he had second thoughts for other reasons???? Anyway, I'm convinced that with careful mounting with tubes there should be no problem. That's why I've decided to put them on wheels and do the mounting myself, and make sure they hold air and have no problems at all before selling them.
I realize that my choice of wheels might not be everyone's choice but I have an original ad by M/T that shows those slicks mounted on 1965 M/T Challenger mags (like I have on my '62), so I figure that's the way they should be. It all ties together as far as I'm concerned, but I've been wrong before........
