I have what I believe to be a BE rear as well. The person I purchased it from had a massive collection of period correct big block and other misc. Chevy muscle car parts. His collection was amazing - even had a brand new L89 never fired engine.

Regardless, when I purchased the rear he told me he purchased it in Englishtown about 10-12 years prior and the guy had pulled it from a Nova and had no clue what it was other than a 12 bolt w. 5:13 gears. I had no reason not to believe his story. All the internals are gone - I will attach pictures of the stampings on the rear. I have gotten mixed reviews on it from the people that have looked at the pics in the past.
