That's all for tonight. I drove over to the 67th Ave Cruise after eating at the Peoria 5 and Diner. Didn't take any pictures.
Between the Valley Speedshop gathering and the two cruises I went to, got this "10 Hot Rod Commandments" handout with a bunch of car show flyers.
1) Thou shall never take out anger on anothers car
2) Thou shall never touch another's car without permission
3) Thou car must not be foreign
4) Thy rims shall be no larger than 18"
5) Thou must shun ricers
6) Do unto others cars as you would want done to yours
7) A Ford shall not power a Chevy, but a Chevy or Mopar may power a Ford. And a Hemi may go in anything it desires.
8) Thy car must be rear wheel drive.
9) Thy car must be naturally aspirated.
10) Thy most important commandment: Family First
If not obeyed, ONLY trouble will follow.
Don't know who penned this, but Claire thought it was funny. </div></div>
I would add one more...
"Thou shall not place car show flyers, on or in someone elses vehicle without their permission!!"
This is the one thing that really gets me at these kinds of events...folks think that they can place "their stuff" under the wipers, on the front seat, etc...I often see small kids doing it for their lazy parents...what would the remedy be if some "well intentioned" car cruise promoter accidently nicked, dented or scratched your ride..?? There should be a central distribution spot at all car show entrances...eg; table, goody bag, "flyer person", etc...where you have the option of taking the literature or not...
