Default Re: What was your 1st car?

1976 Datsun B210 - Cost me 100 bucks! There was more rust than steel! My dad and I put one hell of a lot of bondo on that car It would backfire ever time I wound her out a bit and then shifted.

Every once in a while the seat would give way and the seat back would drop backwards.... that was interesting.

The night I bought it my buddy, who knew how to drive stick, took us for a crazy ride through a wooded lot near my house. Nearly wet myself from laughing so hard!! How we didnt slam into a tree is still a mystery. There were also some backfire flames seen from the muffler as we came up the NJ Turnpike.

I decided to drive it to school after a stick driving lesson from my dad..... I got stuck during rush hour in the middle of an intersection! I kept stalling.

The antifreeze was turning a bit frothly and brown. Got to replace a head gasket for the first time! A great experience.

This was also the car that I taught a buddy of mine to drive stick in a snowy parking lot... damn that car would do great donuts in the snow!

Sold the car a few years later when I bought my 1970 Camaro SS... sold it for $100
