Default Re: correct style wheel weights

You can find accurate wheel weights on ebay from time to time.

The following information is from note taking over the years.

GM had at least five suppliers for wheel weights, they were:
Bada (MICRON)
Salmon
Wheel Weight Inc.
Perfect Equipment Co. (P within a horizontal arrow)
Sand Clip (used #14 within and ocal border)

The weights were only in ounces (late 70's they went to metric) and there are five different weights to choose from, in 0.5oz increments from 0.5 to 2.5oz

The weights usually had two markings of the weight, either in decimal or fraction, the exception being the 0.5 oz weight with only one marking and those that used a letter B on the left hand side in place of a number.

Only installed on the inner side of the rim.

The AIM manual states that a max. of 5 oz could be added and then the wheel/tire combination should be rejected.
