Re: Jacks vega
Hello. I am the person that Marlin is talking about. I have the Wasp Blue Vega. You can call me to discuss if you want:

To my knowledge, no one knows the volume of Stingers produced. Nor is there a list of the dealers that sold them. Mine came from a dealer in Cincinnati. I have the build sheet, protecto-plate, etc.
I will give you a short information dump of what I know. If someone has more information than I or thinks they know something different, that’s fine.
There are 5 stingers I know of in existence now:
A yellow one in Canada
A Blue one in New Mexico
A Blue one in Iowa with the wrong engine (LT1)
A Green wagon on the east coast – in Florida I think
And mine
None of these cars are turbo cars. A little history on the turbo cars – the turbo cars were basically a stock motor with forged dished pistons for the added heat and pressure installed at Yenko. The turbo came in the trunk and was to be dealer installed.
The standard Stingers had engine options which included an Offenhauser 4 barrel manifold and a Holley 365 cfm carburetor and a header as well. Probably the coolest part of all is a cast aluminum valve cover with the Yenko emblem.
Both cars had anti-hop bars bolted on to the rear end. Other than that, they were basically a GT with the badges removed. Cute little cars, but still a Vega.
Hope this helps a little. Anybody thinking it would be cool to have one of these cars, but can’t find one, should look for a Cosworth. There abundant and a lot more fun to drive.
