A friend of mine once worked for Firestone. He said that at one point, &quot; if it had 2 holes and it was black, it shipped!!&quot; </div></div>

I talked with my friend today about the radials on his Ram Rod W-31 in 1968. He said that they were Goodyears. These tires were available as an option on Cutlasses but not on 442's. They had like a 3/8&quot; white pinstripe on them. He received a recall letter on them the next spring and put a set of G70-14 Polyglas redstripes on it. He said that he has pictures hidden away.

He was an engineer on the line at Lansing in final. He said that alignment to get the radials on the cars was all over the map.
