Why not just drop in a zippy sbc/TH350 and regear the 10-bolt and have fun driving it for a while? You could be cruising correctly quickly. And after you get bored with it in a year or two, first do a 12-bolt, then the bbc/springs, etc., then brakes, etc. Take the incremental approach rather than all at one time. You get to enjoy your ride while eventually getting it the way you ultimately want it.

Hey JB. I just put the car in the shop this week to take care of a few rust issues. Changing a quarter and repairing a lower fender and the rear window channel. Nothing too major but significant. I am not going to do what I did with my 68 and have it off the road restoring it for 7 years not to finish it. This car will be driven as a daily driver as often as possible. I need to be able to drive my car or I will go nuts!
