I have a few, but feel most original Yenko tachs were embossed - makes touching up the white a bit easier. We've been more hung up on the glossiness of the shroud, as new ones are glossy and reference material calls out a flat black.
I agree on the mutli colored face versions, they were being produced well into the 90's and could be bought in the J.C. Whitney catalogue for $40'ish. They were quite different in that they had a plastic coupling, different circuitry, colors, etc... but guys have used them in a pinch. Oh, the metal coupling would swap right on the J.C. versions.
