I bought a 2007 GT500 Shelby back in late 2006 and only the Corvettes give me a hard time but they are a sport car anyways.
Ford always sets the standards or pushes the envelope first, Camaro(Chevrolet) and Challenger(Dodge) are still behind. </div></div>

1. How does a 2010 Mustang compare against a 2010 Camaro?

2. Chevrolet is way behind. I don't think so. They may have come to the party late, but the only reason for the hp increase in the 2011 Mustang is due to the competition from Chevy. In this case, Chevy set the standard for performance for Ford, and price for Chrysler.

3. In 2007, what competition besides a Corvette did your GT500 have to compete with? All the comparisons beteeen a base 400hp Corvette and the GT500 in national magazines were in the Vettes favor in every category except &quot;room for four.&quot; It's not GM's fault that except for 2005-2006 Ford has no entry in the sports car field to compete against.

Don't get me wrong, I own plenty of Fords, and I'm not bashing Ford. It's the raising of the bar by each manufacturer that raises all ships. No matter who you pull for it's possible to point to a period in time where your team set the standard.
