Woj, I did another batch tonight and I think I am getting the hang of it. Time, current, and surface area to be plated are the variables that have to be balanced. I'm getting bright, lusterous finish that looks like the fastener bins at the hardware store. I finished restoring the distributor body this evening too. I'll post some more progress shots tomorrow.

P.S. Woj: I don't know if mixing my own solutions (so I know what is in there) is making a difference for me vs. the home kits. I did a bunch of research to determine what the correct ingredients and proportions should be. I am looking forward to the black zinc process as I really like this finish and I feel it is a very close to correct looking finish for many GM fasteners.
