It is too bad that the media doesn't give more time to recognize the sacrifices so many people are making in the cause of freedom. If some rock star or Hollywood type cheats on his wife, that's front page news...a soldiers death may only get a footnote on some inside page.

Yesterday was the 66th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy...probably the biggest single military event of all time...yet it was hardly mentioned in print or the web. How soon we forget those who have served and paid the price for the freedom we all enjoy.
