Default Re: The Good OLD days of speed shops

Coming soon in an issue of Muscle Car Enthusiast is a good-size article I wrote that looks back at my old speed shops (seventies and early eighties). It was a cool assignment. I used some old faded photos we had and coupled it with first person perspective. One cool photo I found was of me and a set of the first d-port big block heads ever released. I was kneeling beside my 1968 Z/28....it had 1400 or so miles on it and was turned into a race car. It was campaigned with a whole bunch of different small and big block combinations in both Super Stock and Modified Eliminator. Yikes. In the background in that photo is a set of Hooker race headers, an ACCEL BEI, an ACCEL starter and a set of tall Moroso valve covers. There was an LS7 sitting on the engine stand behind me. Talk about Day 2!

Anyway, watch for the article. I had a really good time writing it.
