I don't know of any aftermrket posi units from the 70's.I was told that it was a fctory locker unit and was used in over the counter replacment rears.It had heat treated GM 5.13 gears in it,and I never had the rear brake drums off,but I cant see how the axles didnt bolt in since there would be no way to access a C clip.The axles were totally flat on he ends with no identifing markers.I am thinking this would be the same rear that guys like Jenkins used under his 68 Camaro.I was just wodering how much people knew about these rears and what they are worth.
