Real nice item there...looks like tach #993716.
First offered as an accessory on all 8cyl. passenger cars & trucks during 1969.
Continued being available for a few years after,up until 1973-4 I believe.

"An electronic tachometer w/silicone transisitor & replaceable dial bulb.All units are calibrated for use on 8cyl. engines.This tach is accurate from idle speed to full engine RPM's.The transistorized circut is automatically protected against damage in case the battery polarity is reversed."
