I posted this yesterdsay in the general discussion forum and feel I need to talk personally with an "expert" on Baldwin cars. Today I spoke to the son of the original owner who purchased the car from Baldwin Motion Chevrolet in 1970. The car was fully documented, which includes the POP, dealer invoice, Baldwin stage II paperwork, etc, etc. The car started out as an LS6 chevelle and the motor was a crate CE stamped replacement, which is completely documented on the paperwork. The car was in an accident and totalled. Every piece that was salvageable was saved including all the emblems, interior, signed Baldwin dash plate, etc. etc. etc.
I am interested in personally speaking with someone who has a passion for Baldwin cars as I do. My goal is to make a tribute car to the previous owner (who was well known in the supercar industry) by putting the original Baldwin motor in a 70 chevelle ss and making it my own supercar.
I was somewhat hesitant about posting my find as I am not interested in a great debate over what I found and have. I know what it is as the original inked/stamped paperwork tells me so. Just want someone to help and advise based on personal experience in the supercar world.
Thanks in advance.
