Re: Anyone near Peoria, Illinois?
I realize that it is an across the border transaction,BUT, before "we" would even begin to touch it we would want to see an original report documented with the alleged allegations. DO NOT take this the wrong way, but I would not risk my career on taking someone's word over the internet about an alleged crime. I know that people could still lie even if they make a report,BUT having the complainant file a written report puts some onus on them as well. However, the main problem with these cases is in determining where the alleged crime took place. We get these quite often and document them either way. We do not go to Canada to pick people up on "small" deals like this and I believe the "Feds" have a dollar amount of a loss that must be met before they will become involved, last I heard it was $5000.00. If you get the report filed then I would call the Peoria Police Department and ask them to find this guy and get a statement from him about what happened in this deal. Many times when "we" show up to talk these people they suddenly become inspired to finish the deals.
