I think you will see the temp get to high 60's to low 70's in a 24 hour period. Once it hits your setting it will only come back on when the room drops in temp. The knob on the back will adjust the amount of heat you want. I had a thermometer in my garage and kept it around 62 or so when it was in the high 20's outside. I would read the temp to see how it was running. It has a fan that blew the hot air to the room. I also had fan to circulate the heat around. It was a ceiling fan though that I had the direction of the fan so that the heat that rises would be pushed back down and around.
