I disagree strongly with your belief regarding dealer to customer invoices. Dealer to customer invoices noting the original customers name, address, trade in vehicle and monthly payment, etc. are quite valuable. Especially if it is from a dealership that is no longer in business and or a supercar dealership ( ie, Fred Gibb, Berger, Mo Carter, etc ). Definately adds to a cars history and definately adds to a sellers ability to market the car. Additionally, the original buyer/owner can be located from the information on the dealer invoice.
