Well I don't know what to think.

I have the same question listed on other sites and am getting many answers. They range from not enough numbers to believe it or not it depended on the factory worker that was working that day as to the mood he was in.

I how ever feel that if it was to be a forge or re stamp that some one did do. Then why would they have not done it right. To go to the trouble of trying to fool some one and not do it right would not make any sense.

I know how the blocked looked after it was washed in a hot bath and pressure cleaned. I even checked back with the mechanic again that rebuilt it and he remembers it well and said that the block almost looked like a virgin to him. Nice and clean he didn't have to machine any thing except the crank. He took only 10 thousands off. He also said again that he seen no evidence of tampering with the numbers or grinding of the block.
Well I think the best thing is to just enjoy the car and don't worry about it.

Thanks for the remarks and every one enjoy what you have.
