Re: Cash For Clunkers
I stopped at a dealership in Austin yesterday to look at the Clunkers and there were some very nice used cars with "clunker" written on the window. The salesperson said that there are lots of potential buyers interested in these cars, but they can't be sold. It hurts the used car market very much.
I mean, there were some decent cars in nice shape that people traded in. Some had good tires and wheels, interiors in nice shape, lots of good body panels. What a shame to crush these cars. Can they pull wheels and tires off them even? How about hoods, fenders or interior parts?
