I don't have the NHRA books but here's what I found in the 1969 AHRA Rule Book.
Formula/Showroom Stock Class: B/S B/SA
Hot Rod Division: Single 4 Bbl puts you in Formula 2 and Multiple Carbs/Factory FI/Factory Supercharged bumped you up to Formula 1. The 8.56/8.66 factor puts you in C/HR.
The 1967 AHRA Rule Book shows the following:
Showroom Stock: A/S A/SA
Factory Production: FP/DS
Formula 2 Hot Rod: B/HR
Modified Production: B/MP
