Light-weight version of the more famous D-model war variant. Higher HP -9 Merlin engine, Aeroproducts paddle-blade propeller, longer, deeper radiator (belly) scoop, taller vertical tail, elongated canopy. Saw limited service, mainly in the Air Guard. Two remain active today. Now you know what his license plate means! The H was the 'hot' P-51. (Yes, H for Hertz too.)
