I am sure if the rescue would have gone "south" someone from the fleet would have been on record as having ordered the mission.
IMO...It is what it is - and it went on about three days too long.
I was already having Iran America Held hostage flashbacks from the media coverage.
With that said, the SEALS and the US Navy ROCK when they get permission to do what they are trained to do.
