Another thing I've seen variations on is the hood stripes themselves... The car pictured above has the outer edges of the stripes following the edge of the scoop portion of the hood, "splaying" them out in a V formation... On other cars I've seen the inner portion of the stripes follow the center hood crease, with the 2 stripes running nearly parallel to each other, as in the picture below. Either way could be considered correct.
