It was even a easier fix mike.
I made a small half inch turn on the 3/8 bolt that connects the timing cover to the intake a started driving the car and the antifreeze was gone! Like I told a couple of potential bidders "The grommet swells once the engine heated up and the leak is gone". I cant believe how this leak which wasnt even an ounce of fluid got legs like this. You would have thought the block was cracked for christ sake.
Moral of the story is take a paper towel and wipe up any fluid before you take a pic
To be honest I didnt see it by the naked eye. I guess the flash made it look like a small river under there. Anyway we have closed the flood gates and the town has been saved!!!

On these Pontiac engines its also very important to loosen or leave the intake bolts loose before tightening the long 3/8" bolt to allow the intake to snug up tight against the timing cover. I've seen too many guys break that bolt trying to tighten it without doing so.
That's a beautiful & rare GP by the way! The next owner should be very happy with it.
