My advice is to keep an eye out for a locally owned and campaigned retired drag car from one of the larger cities in the country. That will save you a lot of money over a "famous name" car and in my opinion, they're every bit as cool. It seems that back in the Sixities and Seventies, almost every small gas station had some kind of drag car they'd sponsor and race on the weekends. I almost get tired of seeing the heavily photographed cars from back then over and over, and I really enjoy seeing pictures of the "little guys" that raced back then that had families and regular jobs where they couldn't tour the country, but just raced locally.
