Seems like a very interesting man, a special man that people would admire.
My dad was a Pontiac man as well. It really was a working mans, "business mans car". That's how I remember my dad.
You know the sad part outside of losing our parents, is losing this generation. They grew up at the time just after the depression, during the war (WWII) to which many served in including my now late father in law, they saw so much and lived through more than I think we really can appreciate.
Always keep them close, in your thoughts. I remember one day shortly before my dad passed of Pancreatic Cancer, I told him that I did not want to see him go. I was maybe 25 years old, still in the US Navy. He touched me on the chest and said, son, I will always be here in your heart and here as he touched my forehead, in your thoughts.
We will always have the memories.
