Let's see, GM was mass producing these engines, but they had, maybe a new guy that couldn't do anything else, take all of the engine lift brackets, hang them up, and paint them, so they could put them on the aluminum intake cars ???? Or maybe just the Z/28's, because they were special. Makes perfectly good sense to me.....

There were also no runs in any of the paint on the firewalls, nor overspray on the big block manifolds. Also ALL of the spotwelds were absolutely perfect, like the marks that a #2 pencel eraser makes. You know, they took the time to dress the welder tips after every weld.
