Many years ago, GE was testing a jet engine for bird ingestion. The engine was tied down tight in a concrete bunker. A young tech was sent out to the super market to buy some whole chickens for them to fire through the engine intake. The first chicken went right through the engine, destroying it completely and punching a hole right through the bunker wall behind it. The tech had brought back frozen chickens!
