Funny story. I received a phone call this past summer. A guy called me looking for a 67 Z28 and wanted to know if I knew of any for sale. One thing led to another. Next thing he tells me that his late brother was invloved with racing. Did I know John Lingenfelter? I almost fell out of my chair! This was his younger brother, Charlie. I told him that his older brother was one of the "icons" of racing and that I thought JL was one of the most respected people in motorsports. What a small world.
Charlie owns or rents a suite at the new Charlotte race track and invited me there when ever I get to race at that facility. I plan on going there this coming spring as NHRA now has a national event there.
In my business, you never know who is going to call you.
