Not true. Each area had a dedicated repairman. Anything that wasn't done right could just be tagged and he would fix it while the car was still in the area or more major items could be corrected in repair bays after the rolls test.
This was just someone not doing their job.


The 772 fan and the unstamped fan were functionally equivalent and were interchangeable. All depended on what was in stock in the plant.....
