I agree... I'm not up on 68's, but on 69 Camaros and Novas the wire stand on the drivers side is tacked to the cover farther forward, on the inward side of the last bolt hole. If you have power brakes the spark plug wires will be mashed against the booster with those covers. I'd imagine 68's were the same as 69.
