I knew there was a reason I liked you Ken! Since we all know the General's design worked great, why change it and have to worry whether someone ELSE'S design will work ok????? Stick with proven success!!!
Also, it's a lot easier to change a spare set of points and condensor than a complete spare Pertronics set-up in case it Poops out on a tour.
Strictly my own personal opinion, and no personal jabs meant........but I think Pertronics set-ups are just for lazy people. I happen to LIKE checking my points once in awhile. It also gives me a chance to inspect the contacts inside the cap, the rotor tip and maybe even clean and regrease the cam. I also LIKE being able to set the dwell. There are some advantages to that.
