Is it true, or is there at least some evidence, that a T in the 5th position of the VIN# on a 1973 Camaro indicates a true Z28?

I sold the car I believe in 1978, possibly 1979. I live in the Akron, Ohio area. It was black with gold stripes, black interior, TH400 with column shift, 396 325hp, 4.11 rearend gear.
