Yup,for the price(little enough ! ) I couldnt pass,complete and not full of water/rust,seems like any big block is getting hard to find these days. Thanks for the input,as a side note,how do I go...

And,why would a truck block have the hi perf pass cast above the oil filter ? Are all big blocks like this ?

Nope,although there seemed to be more stamped letters/numbers on a little pad,center front below intake rail ? I guess I need to pull a valve cover and oil pan and see what it is ?

Big Block casting # Hi perf ?

Found an old BBC engine very cheap,steamed it off and I see what appears to be some conflicting info.I am hoping you experts could help decipher if I have a good one or just run of the mill BBC....
