Sorry for the delay but, Crash answered your question.
The 3.90's will be geared too low. I using a 3.42:1, 28" tires with a 3.27:1 1st gear Richmond 6 speed. I would not want my car...

I would imagine your Richmond 4+1 has the 3.27:1 1st gear? Using it, you'll probably have to change the differential gears to utilize its potential.

I saw those same JL8 brackets on eBay. I know they are repos and I think they are way overpriced.
