By the way...I was told the mounting plate is for a Muncie. It currently has a fake/repop 1966 Chevelle/Impala shifter with a repop shifter ball.....thanks again.

Yes....the dealership sold out to what was a used car dealership at one time....not sure whats there now......along with Tiger Stadium being torn down quite some time ago.

Not to steal your thread, but i also have a air cleaner base and lid. The base has no provision for the tube to valve cover and the lid is black and the underside has the silk screen still on...

How about one without the vent tube (never had one)....and a painted lid (never had chrome plating), and the lid has the silk screening on the underside. Picked up at a swap meet manny years...

I have friend who owns (bought it new) a 69 Nova SS with the th400 396-375 engine.....all matching numbers to this day....12,000 original miles.

A little more info...he has the salesman's card, a guy named "LiL Joe Clark",specialized in muscle cars at that dealership....known as "LiL Joe Clarks Pit Stop"....kinda cool history....undercarriage...

After knowing of this car and owner for 30 yrs, and yes he is the original owner, I may be able to pry this car from him. It is the REAL DEAL with all doc's including bill of sale first registration...
