Greg, I think I have a nos cam. It's in a Gm box that someone hand wrote #3959180 on it. On the rear side of the cam it's stampted #3959181.Do you know of any other ID markings to look for? Let me...

You are correct, sleeve od's are different. The blocks were the same when they were casted, but as you mentioned the aluminum cores were bored out alot bigger for the 4.440 application....

You better talk to the machine shop again. Even if they could find sleeves to fit they would be too thick to cool properly. It doesn't take much to have over heating problems with a big block.

The way you describe your engine, I think you have a service only - 4.440 bore block, not a ZL-1.These large bore blocks can't be resleeved to a 4.250 bore. Sorry for the bad news.

allcamaro. PZ is correct for a 1969 2.56 posi rear.Some of the other codes on that list are also incorrect,they're listed as 10 but they should be 12 bolt.

Kim, do you guy's use some type of thottle stop to go from full bore during eliminations, and reset again for dial in times.

There are paper filters available that replace the bronze ones. They work 100% better and the best thing no modifications necessary.

Sam, the .015 depth is radial, and .030 is total depth on the diameter.
